Responsibilities
Location: Wichita, KS (Onsite)

Key Accountabilities:
Material Review Engineers represent the entirety of Engineering as members of the Material Review Board (MRB) in an Aerospace production or preproduction environment
Requires the capabilities to formulate, analyze, substantiate and document dispositions for production non-conformances within the boundaries of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and/or OEM delegated requirements
Utilize independent, single signature authority for dispositioning non-conformances on aircraft structural components, systems, functional tests, and wiring / electrical installations under rapid-paced production schedules
Perform decision/disposition processes based upon knowledge of the design and manufacture of machined /sheet metal parts, weldments, non-metals, advanced composites, and/or large-scale assemblies and systems integration
MRB engineers are self-motivated and possess the ability to act decisively, communicate effectively, and demonstrate innovation and resourcefulness when exercising his or her role in MRB delegated or non-delegated environments
Utilize skills in applying systems-thinking to improve the producibility of hardware and in the resolution of production problems, in improving the maintainability of components, and in resolving component performance issues
Possesses the ability to investigate root causes and recommend resolution to design discrepancies
Has the ability to manage projects and lead or participate in cross-functional teams to accomplish engineering and manufacturing initiatives
Utilize CAD 3-D/PLM programs (CATIA/Enovia, NX/CPLM, or equivalent) to open and interrogate Model Based Definition
Perform “hands-on” investigation of non-conformances and coordinate solutions with manufacturing and quality organization personnel
Qualifications
Requirements:
A Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited engineering program is required
0+ years of related experience
Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance
Successful candidates must be able to secure Program Access approval
Preferred Qualifications:
3-5+ years of related experience
An active DoD Security Clearance
Material Review Engineering and/or Liaison Engineering background
