Job Summary:

Sharecare is seeking a content manager to support a dynamic digital health content team in all phases of editorial production and content maintenance. The Sharecare platform consists of a public-facing website, an authenticated (login-based) website, and a mobile app. This role includes responsibility for effectively shepherding content through this diversified content ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have experience with consumer-facing health and wellness content.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Maintain, catalog, and categorize a large-and-growing content library, including published and archived materials across a sprawling taxonomy

  • Manage and update processes as they relate to content throughout its lifecycle (creation, publication, uses, and retirement/archiving)

  • Oversee content-reliant products and features through to completion, including project road-mapping, quality assurance (QA) testing, and stakeholder verification

  • Troubleshoot and provide assistance for technical issues as they relate to content, content distribution, content management system (CMS) functionality, and app and website functionality

  • Log, track, and manage bugs and other items through project management software (Jira)

  • Maintain and improve best practices for user interface and health-related accreditations

  • Manage and improve data and data collection as it relates to content and content delivery

  • Support SEO best practices as they relate to content, metadata, and content delivery

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Data Management or related field

  • 3-5 years' experience in Content Development or Content Management

  • Advanced experience and understanding of CMS functionality, including tagging, taxonomy, and content distribution (Wordpress and Magnolia experience a plus)

  • Highly collaborative with an ability to coordinate across teams

  • Comfort working on public-facing platforms while managing the intricacies of complex content infrastructure on the back end

  • Understanding of scrum, sprint planning, and product management best practices

  • Understanding of SEO best practices

  • Basic understanding of APIs

  • Basic understanding of HTML

  • Basic understanding of Photoshop and image selection best practices

  • Basic understanding of Brightcove and video metadata and tagging requirements

  • Facility with Microsoft 365 software (Excel prowess is a must)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with the basics of web content packaging, including writing headlines, sourcing photos, and creating source lists/bibliographies, preferred

  • Jira/Confluence experience highly preferred
