Kuehne+Nagel National Communications Manager in Tokyo, Japan

You will be part of our General Management team, adding your communications expertise + skills to the delivery of customer + operational excellence.

Your Role

Your Role The company needs a strong communications manager who can steer the company's reputation by building trust among its internal and external stakeholders. The National Communication Manager heads the development of consistent content initiatives for the country and drives the alignment in messaging to nurture internal and external audiences with meaningful, cohesive, engaging, sustainable and curated content via the appropriate channels.

Your Responsibilities

You will be responsible for driving the development of consistent + engaging content initiatives for your scope of responsibility via meaningful + relevant channels. You will do this by working with a variety of internal + external stakeholders while focusing on the following key objectives.

• To plan, execute + monitor media, social + internal communications in collaboration with regional + global communications stakeholders, ensuring both internal + external audiences are engaged.

• To steer our company's reputation + enhance trust by connecting with media multiplicators (E.g., editors, reporters, journalists) through media interviews, media events + press releases.

• To develop brand awareness via external stakeholders’ engagement activities, including but not limited to editorial content strategy + execution, social media posts, award articles, etc.

• To build a strong work culture + provide a sense of purpose for our colleagues.

• To source + create internal stories, aligning all internal communications on a national or regional level.

• To drive + roll out key company initiatives.

• To support in creating talking points or speeches for management team.

The National Communications Manager will work closely with:

Corporate Communication team

Regional Communication Manager

BU and FU colleagues on a country level

Regional / National Communications Managers

National management team

Journalists/Media

Your Skills and Experiences

Qualification & experiences

  • Degree in Communication; Journalism; Politics; Economics; or related.

  • Fluent (written and spoken) in English and local language.

  • International experience: 2 - 5 years.

Skills & expertise

  • Experienced in project and campaign management

  • Experienced user of MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite

  • Copywriting
