Danfoss HydronicS Division is looking for an experienced Category Buyer to join our team in Sofia (Bulgaria).

With a strong organizational foundation in HydronicS Procurement, procurement is recognized for being a valued business partner who supports and drives change. We source and deliver value to our divisional must win battles, the green transition and having cost efficient products and components. As part of our HydronicS Division procurement organization, we are strengthening our global team with a position of Category Buyer. You will be responsible for developing and driving material category strategy, securing our competitiveness by ensuring optimal sourcing fits, optimal supplier performance and risk mitigation plans.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.

  • Working closely with a team of Divisional Category Managers as well as Segment Category Managers to support implementing different material category strategies ensuring optimal sourcing channels for our EU plants located in Denmark, Poland, Slovenia and Bulgaria

  • Ownership for C Class suppliers of direct material and external services.

  • Maintaining and owning data in SAP system (e.g. info records, order books, order changes) including master data maintenance.

  • Support of operational purchasing and SQE in case of supplier quality and delivery problems, acting as first escalation point within procurement organization (2nd after Operational Procurement).

  • Driving Change Management process, relevant for all suppliers, ensuring availability, traceability, and validation (PPAP).

  • Driving optimization activities in alignment with site Operations team and Divisional Category Management, resulting in improved cash, stock or/and availability results of external suppliers.

  • Facilitates preparation and execution of procurement related QMS processes on site level in alignment with divisional process owners.

  • Runs cross plant/divisional projects, resulting in cost/cash/supplier compliance optimization.

  • Acting according to TCO mindset, constantly and pro-actively optimizing the impact for Danfoss.

  • Ensures optimal ramp-up/ramp-down transition on procurement projects.

  • Support inbound on forecast versus supplier capacities. Work with Category in case of misalignments, limited to selected location.

  • Supporting with clarification on invoices with suppliers.

  • Supporting with the tasks in overall Divisional Procurement Organization (example : special projects,events).

  • You are a graduate with a degree in Business administration, Logistics or similar.

  • You have 2+ years of professional experience in the production company.

  • You are familiar with up-to day digital office environment (Microsoft Office 365), knowledge of SAP wouldbe an asset.

  • You are an active English speaker, capable of leading daily written communication in English.

  • You are high on self-initiative and ambitious to tackle different challenges on multinational environment.

  • You are a good communicator.

  • You are willing to travel if necessary (supplier visits, other locations withing division).
