All workers should be physically able to meet and perform the work outlined in the contract for the entire period of time from 03/01/2023 to 12/01/2023. Workers duties to include, but not limited to: Workers may drive and operate farm machinery to plant, cultivate, harvest and store grain crops such as corn, wheat, soybeans, etc. Attach farm implements such as plow, disc, and drill to tractor and drive tractor in field to till soil and plant / cultivate crop. Perform variety of other duties such as husking and shelling corn, lubricating and repairing farm machinery and unloading grain onto conveyors to storage bins and elevators. Assist in set-up of product for sale of crop. Work in orchard performing various job duties to include, but not limited to: thinning, pruning and harvesting of trees during growing season. Worker picks fruits according to grade, color and size. Picks low-hanging fruit while standing on the ground, higher branches are picked while standing on a ladder. Fruit is grasped with the hands and removed from the trees in a motion so as not to harm adjacent buds on tree branches. Fruit picked is placed into bag attached to harness strapped around shoulders. Worker moves ladder around trees and from tree to tree. Full bags are carefully emptied into wooden bins. Worker examines harvested fruit in bins and sort out any fruit not meeting the grade, color and size specifications. The confirmed adverse effect wage for the area of employment is \$14.26 per hour for 2023. Wages are paid weekly. The employer guarantees to offer at least 3/4 of the hours listed in the contract. Worker\'s compensation insurance will be provided. The employer must provide free housing and three meals a day or furnish free convenient cooking kitchen facilities to all workers who are not reasonably able to return to their residence the same day. If the employer elects to provide meals, a maximum of \$14.00 per day may be charged to the employee. The employer will provide the necessary tools, supplies and equipment at no cost to the workers will assist in planting, cultivating, and harvesting row crops and fruit/vegetables and preparation of straw and hay: soil preparation, operation of tillage, harvesting, and cutting equipment, hauling and storage of hay/straw, preparing barns, draining fields, preparing lands for planting and dropping sticks in field. Workers should be able to bend, stoop, and able to stand on feet for long periods of time. Workers should be able to lift 25 to 70 pounds.Workers may be asked to submit to random drug testing.May be required to submit a criminal background check, at no cost to the worker. Felony convictions that employer reasonably believes, consistent with current law, will impair the safety and living conditions of other workers or other individuals on the farm will result in immediate termination.
