Genesee Regional Bank Credit Analyst in ROCHESTER, New York

Salary Range: $50,000 - $62,000PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:The Credit Analyst is chiefly responsible for analyzing and evaluating financial information in undertaking the preparation of credit analyses for new loan requests or annual reviews. In addition, the Credit Analyst assists the Relationship Managers in completing the Managed by Delinquency (MBD) reviews. The Credit Analyst is also responsible for ensuring that all loan requests adhere to loan policy requirements. They work closely with the Relationship Managers and prepare the objective and independent credit analyses serves which as the basis for approval of all commercial credit relationships. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Analyze financial statements of all levels of quality to develop an initial assessment for identifying strengths and weaknesses, as it pertains to a borrowers historical and projected operating performance.Working with the Relationship Managers to develop appropriate information for the credit analyses to process new loan requests or annual reviews. This includes, but is not limited to, developing information on affiliated debt and relationships, evaluating primary borrower's and/or corporate guarantors cash flow, analyzing financial data and developing data for the collateral analysis.Evaluate a personal guarantors cash flow, net worth and liquidity position.Responsible for completing assigned reviews, including annual, vendor and MBDs.Utilize the nCino platform and gain familiarity with all functions, primarily generating the appropriate credit memo.Review the loan documentation file, as necessary, to ensure that loans met the conditions of the previous approval. Note any exceptions in the credit memo.Review the loan policy to ensure that loans meet the bank's policy requirements. Note any policy exceptions in the credit memo.Meet Credit Management's expectations in performance, productivity and quality standards.Active participation in demonstrating the behaviors outlined in the GRB Experience.All other duties as assigned by the Commercial Credit Manager. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Bachelors degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or a business related discipline, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.Previous credit analysis or related experience in commercial banking strongly preferred.Working knowledge of nCino or other underwriting software preferred. COMPETENCIES:Provide a remarkable client experience.
