Core Responsibilities
Con Edison's Advocacy & Planning team leads Corporate Affairs efforts to further enterprise-wide engagement and advocacy for key business objectives. Members of this team will work in a cross-functional environment (Tiger Teams) with colleagues across Corporate Affairs and other relevant teams across the company. The founding members of the team will help identify the key priority initiatives to engage and create strategic plans for each. In addition, founding team members will help establish the processes, workflows, and team culture.
Lead coordination of strategic events for Advocacy & Planning department.
Coordinate and manage department assets and work products to ensure timely communication and collaboration with external teams.
Track the development of division materials and documents to support corporate affairs goals, implement programs, and evaluate and measure success.
Support development of advocacy priority toolkits and other information to be disseminated internally and externally.
Assist the Section Manager and Advocacy and Planning team members in identifying and engaging with key internal stakeholders/teams, when needed, to ensure visibility and seek out opportunities to incorporate their work.
Provide support in the execution of the integrated and effective strategic plan for Con Edison and Orange and Rockland energy companies.
Work on special projects as assigned by Advocacy and Planning Director and Section Manager.
Perform other related administrative tasks and assignments as required.
Required Education/Experience
- Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of relevant work experience.
Relevant Work Experience
Experience engaging in multiple team-based, competing projects and a strong commitment to meeting deadlines Required
Entrepreneur approach with demonstrated ability to implement new idea or project with successful outcomes. Required
Critical thinker and continuous improvement mindset. Ability to identify areas to improve efficiency and opportunities to refine processes and provide solutions for enhancement. Required
Experience in Event management that support broader strategic goals. Required
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. Required
Proficiency in Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Required
Familiarity with New York community organizations, political processes and the clean energy transition. Preferred
