Department of the Navy/Assistant for Administration HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT (RECRUITMENT & PLACEMENT/OA) in Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, California

Summary You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT (RECRUITMENT AND PLACEMENT/OA) in the STAFFING DEPARTMENT of OCHR SAN DIEGO OPERATIONS CENTER. Responsibilities You will develop requests to fill positions within the Navy for completeness and accuracy (personnel actions). You will interpret regulations to ensure that personnel actions meet all legal and administrative requirements. You will utilize an automated payroll system, such as Defense Civilian Payroll System or equivalent payroll system, to review accuracy of pay effected actions. You will review special placement programs to ensure appropriate consideration is provided to the registrants of the programs. You will develop position/vacancy announcements for advertisements to potential candidates. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GS-05. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing technical support processing personnel actions, preparing reports, and maintaining records in an automated recruitment system. OR. Have successfully completed four years of education above high school level in any field for which high school graduation or the equivalent is the normal prerequisite; OR Have a combination of specialized experience and education that equates to one year of experience. The percentage of the required experience plus the percentage of the required education must equal one hundred percent. GS-04. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of general experience in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. General experience must demonstrate the following: progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position to be filled; OR Have successfully completed two years of education above high school level in any field for which high school graduation or the equivalent is the normal prerequisite. OR Have a combination of general experience and education that equates to one year of experience. The percentage of the required experience plus the percentage of the required education must equal one hundred percent.
