Boston Scientific Manager, Communications, Peripheral Interventions in Maple Grove, Minnesota

About the role: Boston Scientific is seeking an accomplished and passionate communicator to make meaningful contributions within the company's Peripheral Interventions (PI) business, which includes drug-eluting technologies and clot management solutions for use in the peripheral vasculature, as well as our interventional oncology and embolization portfolio. This individual will play a pivotal role in enhancing and elevating communications that support various business transformation programs and initiatives within the PI business in collaboration with a number of functional partners, including research and development, program management, human resources and others. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing and executing strategic organizational communications strategies that help advance the business, engage our employees and elevate our culture. This role is hybrid, with the candidate spending an average of 3 days per week at the company's Maple Grove, MN office where the PI business is based. This is an individual contributor position that will report to the director and business partner, Global Corporate Communications, Peripheral Interventions. Your responsibilities include: Lead integrated communications plans in support of key business objectives in close partnership with research and development, program management, human resources and other key functional areas. Develop and implement robust multi-channel internal communications strategies that support efforts to elevate culture and drive employee engagement. Provide ongoing counsel and maintain regular interactions with functional partners within the PI business unit. Advocate for new and creative ways to tell compelling stories and experiences that lead to measurable results. Partner with colleagues in Europe, the Middle East & Africa, Asia Pacific and Latin America, as needed, to develop global communications plans. Collaborate with Global Corporate Communications teammates to share best practices that enable cohesiveness across business unit and functional communications. Provide input into business specific opportunities that are relevant for internal corporate channels. Ensure a consistent and coherent voice in all communications that aligns with Boston Scientific corporate positioning and messaging. What we're looking for: Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, English, or equivalent field. 7+ years of relevant experience in internal and/or external communications within a corporate or agency environment, ideally with a global focus on healthcare (e.g., medical devices, medical technology, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology). Broad experience developing and executing strategic communications plans and correlating metrics while managing competing priorities. In-depth understanding of target audience, highly effective writing style and expertise in high-impact messaging to targeted audiences, along with the ability to articulate complex information in simple and relatable terms. Excellent oral and written communication skills and familiarity with major internal communications platforms and digital tools. Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills to drive continuous improvement through gathering feedback and measuring outcomes. Performs as a self-motivated, solutions-oriented communications professional who will recommend innovative communications approaches and take initiative in a fluid and fast-paced envi onment. Excellent project management, organizational, planning and time management skills. Ability to maintain high productivity while balancing competing priorities. Adept at working in a team environment while also displaying independence, initiative and enterprise. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of digital tools.
