Description This clerical position provides secretarial support to psychologists, establishes and maintains
records, compiles and distributes materials and reports, and responds to inquiries from a variety
of internal and external sources.
A Day in the Life
Attends a variety of meetings for the purpose of conveying and gathering information
required to perform functions.
Compiles data for the purpose of preparing reports or processing requests.
Coordinates assigned projects and activities and completes activities and delivery of
services in a timely fashion.
Maintains inventory of office supplies and materials.
Maintains a variety of documents and files such as referrals and student records ensuring
information and historical references are maintained in accordance with established
administrative guidelines and legal requirements.
Prepares a variety of correspondence, reports and other materials for the purpose of
documenting activities, providing written reference, and conveying information.
Processes a variety of documents and materials to provide information, facilitate
communication and provide direction.
Responds to inquiries from a variety of parties for the purpose of providing information,
facilitating communication among parties, and providing direction.
Schedules activities, appointments and meetings for psychologists.
Performs other related duties as assigned to ensure the efficient and effective functioning
of the work unit.
Successful Candidates
Maintain moderately complex filing and record keeping systems, including computerized
information systems.
Are proficients with spreadsheet, word processing and database program
Have high accuracy & attention to detail
Have the ability to apply a variety of instructions/policies/procedures/practices in written
or oral form
Have the ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
Have the ability to calculate percentages, proportions, averages, and other concepts of
basic algebra
Have strong organizational skills
Are skilled in business telephone and face-to-face etiquette
Are reflective and responsive to suggestions
Have excellent communication skills
Have the ability to work with frequent interruptions
Education, Certification
High School Diploma
Experience
Job related experience is desired
Our Working Environment
This position generally requires 90% sitting, 5% standing, and 5% walking.

Work is generally performed in an office environment.
Must be able to deal with interruptions and meet deadlines.
Fine finger dexterity is required.
Requires some lifting of up to 20 pounds.
Attendance
Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance/punctuality as required by the Board of
Education policies and regulations.
Must be regularly available and willing to work 40 hours per week, or such other hours as
the district determines necessary or desired.
