Summary:
The Driver Supervisor will oversee busy delivery operations in support of a distribution center environment, including process improvement, team development, and supply chain management.
This position directs all driver/delivery activities in a distribution center environment. Responsibilities include operational excellence and process improvement, ensuring customer expectations florare exceeded, and talent acquisition, development, and retention of associates. This position will operate as a strategic partner with logistics and sales in establishing and adhering to customer service objectives
Responsibilities, Major Tasks, and Key Accountabilities:
Talent management - including selection, termination (with HR approval), performance review, and professional development of direct reports.
Ensure appropriate staffing levels to meet service, financial, and operational support demands.
Strategically oversee location fleet and dedicated delivery processes. Ensure compliance with all DOT regulations.
Effectively utilize training programs to develop operations expertise within the delivery team
Act as liaison to sales leadership to ensure customer satisfaction and problem resolution. Coordinate and communicate effectively with all company departments.
Ensure environmental health and safety excellence through compliance with all safety and Hazmat rules and regulations, legal regulations, and human resource policies.
Maintaining good communication with each of your drivers
Create a positive work environment, continually supporting and recognizing employees for professional and personal growth
Work closely with Logistics, HR, Sales, and IT to ensure customer satisfaction, retention and sales growth
Respond to escalating internal and external customer issues, determine root cause, and implement any corrective measures
Create and maintain documents on departmental processes and procedures
Provide direction to improve and implement systems that increase overall efficiency and customer satisfaction
Liaison with outside vendors to ensure seamless support and quick resolution of issues
Road test & route test new hires
Training and onboarding new drivers
Conducts regular staff meetings for drivers and dispatchers
Maintains all vehicle inspection records
Perform driver and/or dispatcher responsibilities as needed
NATURE AND SCOPE:
Accountable for direct supervision of the work activities of others. In addition to personnel issues -- including selection, termination, performance appraisal, and professional development of subordinates.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate’s degree or combination of education and relevant work experience
Previous experience in fleet management
Exposure to Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies
Voice selecting technology experience preferred but not necessary
Bi-lingual a plus(English/Spanish)
Experience in distribution/logistics management
Ability to use computer systems and apply computer systems knowledge to manage day-to-day operations
Class A, CDL certified
Forklift certification
