This position works out of our Casa Grande, Arizona location in the Abbott Nutrition division. You’ll be accountable for meeting our compliance standards including FDA, OSHA and Abbott policies and procedures.

What You’ll Work On

The Dryer operator will learn the operation of the fluid bed room for production and the cleaning process. The operator will learn the operation of the lactose, rework and whey protein systems, operational knowledge of powder transport systems and handling and storage systems. Operators will gain operational knowledge and applicable tasks of evaporating batches, product sterilization, drying product, weighing and adding vitamins, add up corrections, troubleshooting and CIP of equipment and following all GMP/safety guidelines to stay in compliance with OSHA and FDA regulations.

• Fluid bed operation (including CIP)

• Weighing/adding minerals and vitamins

• Forklift operations

• Assisting dryer technicians w/production of CIP

• Housekeeping tasks/sanitation procedures

• Operation of filling stations

• Assembly and disassembly of IBC systems

• Reconstitution of NFDM

• Assembly/disassembly of various powder transport systems

• Evaporator system operation and CIP

• Injector system operation and CIP

• Dryer system operation and CIP

• Fines reinjection system and CIP

• IBC filling, handling, storage (forklift operation)

• Powder handling systems (transporters to hopper)

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent

• Forklift operation

Preferred Qualifications

• Dryer, injector, evaporator system operations

The base pay for this position is $20.60 – $41.20 per hour. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
