Position Summary

The Store Manager leads the store team, coaches and trains store personnel to achieve sales, ensures profitability through the correct use of store systems/processes (POS). Manages the overall store operations including customer service, administration, planning and managing merchandise, replenishment, product inventory, loss prevention activities, scheduling, and training.

Position Description

Essential Functions

  • Proactively ensures that customers are handled quickly and efficiently and ensure friendly, fast and accurate processing of all customer transactions.

  • Grows store sales through strong customer service, and store marketing efforts to attract new customers.

  • Manages store inventory levels and other efforts which contribute to gross profit. Manages appropriate inventory to balance right assortment and quantity of product to meet customer needs, while achieving asset turn goal.

  • Remains informed of marketing and merchandising plans, expectations and timetables; Assist in the development of marketing and merchandising plans specific to the store and assure timely execution of same in the store.

  • Ensures that the store operates in full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and store policies including but not limited to talent management processes, pre-employment screening processes, associate file maintenance and compliance and management of all financial documents and reporting systems.

  • Supports the coaching of associates to deliver an outstanding and consistent customer experience in compliance with company strategies.

  • Ensures product is being sold at the proper margin. Manage Account Receivables by selling credit worthy accounts.

  • Develops close working relationships with our outside sales team to support their growth efforts.

Position Qualifications


Must have a Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience

1-3 years of related work experience

Ability to interpret situations not outlines in procedures; escalates policy related issues

Coaches others to improve their analitycal skills and judgement; exhibits decisiveness and good judgement, even under ambiguos circumstances

Uses available resources sensibly; is attentive to cost implications of own work and performing role

Role requires the ability to recognize and adopt cost-saving ideas, quantify and address scope changes, seeks efficient ways to structure and accomplish work; coaches others on the financial impact of their role

Knows and applies fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of a particular field

Supervises the work of other non-exempt associates

Possesses basic understanding of Word, Excel and Outlook
