From your PASSION to ours

The Graphic Services Manager is responsible for the overall performance and leadership of the Creative operations within the Graphic Services Department. This role will ensure consistency of identity, tonality, messaging, and quality for both new and established brands. This person will lead a team of graphic designers to bring to life the brand’s positioning. The Graphic Services Manager will provide liaison support between internal customers, as well as external print suppliers. This position will oversee and participate in the process of obtaining and preparing customer artwork for the production process, design work not related to agency provided creative, and other related marketing support services.

Key responsibilities for this position include:

Strategic Design Leadership:

  • This role is both manager and creator and will require flexing executional excellence and conceptual thinking.

  • Oversee packaging workflow for Lactalis brands; President, Galbani, Parmalat, Black Diamond, and more.

  • Sets the design vision for multi-channel marketing and communications, spanning print, digital, and packaging platforms to innovate, delight, and bring the brand to life.

  • In partnership with the Sr. Manager Graphic Services, identify organizational design needs and strategic content opportunities; and works with the Creative operations team to develop print, design, and packaging artwork.

  • Supports the Sr. Manager Graphic Services with budget planning, project timelines, production schedules, and staffing as needed

  • Stay on top of consumer and industry trends and leverage market data and performance results to consistently iterate, evolve, and innovate our strategies and execution—creating work that truly resonates and delivers on our business objectives.

  • People Management:

  • Position will oversee / manage a team of (3) graphic designers, in 2 locations within the US

  • Assigns work and establishes standards and work priorities; ensures staff training and development of employee skills and KPI’s’.

  • Project Management:

  • Supports the team by contributing to graphic design projects, toolkits, template development and delivery as needed.

  • Coordinates and negotiates content produced by the design team, maintaining schedules for creative content. Ensures that design content aligns with corporate, brand, and packaging standards; and that language and messaging in creative materials align with Lactalis guidelines, and core values for both Corporate and Brand pieces.

  • Manages approval process on all creative requests meet the Creative Brief, and timeline deliverables for each project intake.

Requirements

From your STORY to ours

Qualified applicants will contribute the following:

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor Arts Degree in graphic design, Bachelor Fine Arts in graphic design, or equivalent.

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience

  • 5+ years of creative and content experience for a consumer product, ideally as part of an in-house creative team or at an ad agency is required

  • 5+ years of experience managing a team of creative / graphic designers for both new and existing brands is required

  • Experience leading the creative development process from brief through delivery across all mediums and distribution channels (i.e., retail, culinary, private label, shopper marketing / sales, e-commerce)

  • Candidate must have experience with artwork, die-lines, graphics, and printing processes.

  • Proven track record of successful brand or identity management.

  • Ability to present teams vision on behalf of Graphic Services to key stakeholders.

Specialized Knowledge

  • Technical understanding/experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, Bridge, Acrobat).

  • Strong understanding of printing methods (i.e. flexible film, rigid packaging, (injection, thermoforming, shrink sleeve, IML, etc.) label, and corrugated print techniques, and print production.

  • Experience working within a project management platform (i.e. Adobe Workfront)

  • Experience working within SAP systems or like, a plus (but not required)

Salary Description

$83,000.00-$99,500.00
