GCyber Infrastructure Operations Manager in Arlington, Virginia

GCyber is hiring an experienced Infrastructure Operations Manager to oversee the operational management and maintenance of the cryptographic facilities of our high-visibility DOD client. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in technology control (Tech Control) facilities, with in-depth knowledge of equipment such as switches, encryption devices, network operation consoles, and circuits. This role requires a strategic leader capable of maintaining the highest levels of operational status while effectively managing a team of tech control professionals.

As an Infrastructure Operations Manager, you will:

 

  • Ensure the continuous operational integrity of Tech Control facilities, focusing on switches, encryption devices, network operation consoles, and circuits.

  • Supervise and mentor a team of tech control professionals, guiding them in maintaining and enhancing our facilities' capabilities.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for technical directions and supervision, ensuring effective maintenance of transmission paths and facilities.

  • Coordinate, restore, and report on essential maintenance functions, adhering to industry best practices and ITSM standards.

  • Manage Tier 2 Tech Control Helpdesk functions, ensuring prompt and effective resolution of incidents and service requests.

  • Communicate effectively with all levels of management, providing clear and concise oral and written reports and recommendations.

  • Stay abreast of industry standards and best practices in Information Management Operations and IT Service Management (ITSM).

  • Work closely with the security team to manage and remediate any vulnerabilities, ensuring the secure operation of our facilities.

    Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) adjudicated clearance TS, SCI eligible.

  • Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field.

  • 10 or more years of experience in managing and operating cryptographic facilities, with demonstrated knowledge in maintaining the operational status of Tech Control facilities.

  • Rapid Response Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) certification.

  • Proven experience in supervising tech control employees in projects of similar size and scope.

  • Proficient in oral and written communication, capable of interfacing with the highest levels of management.

  • Demonstrated knowledge in operating and maintaining Tier 2 Tech Control Helpdesk functions and familiarity with DISAC 310-175-9.
