Pinebrook Family Answers Bilingual Mental Health Professional in Allentown, Pennsylvania

Under supervision of the Clinical Program Manager, the incumbent of this position provides psychotherapy to children, adults and families in the Outpatient Behavioral Health Program.

Psychotherapists must strive for the delivery of best clinical practices in the field and adhere to all regulatory expectations of a licensed outpatient psychiatric clinic. This includes timely completion of all documentation as required by policy and by external standards.

WHAT You'll Do as an MHP:

  • Meets with assigned clients in individual, group, collateral or family sessions and intake appointments.
  • Maintains professional competence by attending mandated trainings as well as conferences, workshops and related educational programs; provides training information to the Human Resources Department for tracking purposes.
  • Maintains contact with referral sources, particularly in the case of internal referrals.
  • Tracks client progress via Greenspace, documenting in the EHR as necessary.
  • Monitors client treatment plans, ensuring that an active treatment plan is in place prior to delivering any billed services.
  • Completes all required documentation in the electronic health record. Ensures progress notes are completed within forty-eight hours of each scheduled appointment.

  • This position requires a graduate degree from an accredited college or university in a generally recognized clinical discipline in which the degree program includes a clinical practicum.
  • Must demonstrate an understanding of managed-care environments and willingness to provide treatment and work within that system, including meeting productivity requirements.
  • Must be conversant in standard computer applications and proficient in written documentation.
  • Must also practice sensitivity to the cultural and socioeconomic differences present among the Agency's defined-service population as well as adhere to the Trauma-informed Care principles practiced by the Agency.
  • Licensed or license-eligible strongly preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
